Miss Dancer

Miss Lilly took a summer dance class with a friend in the neighborhood this summer. They have loved playing together - pretending, dancing, singing, swimming ... what a nice thing it is to have a good friend right across the street when you are 5! And while she is loving dancing right now, she is signed up for soccer instead this fall. This was very much her decision, based loosely on the fact that a boy that she really likes at church plays soccer - oh, boy! She starts in a week - she has a pink ball, some black and pink cleats and is practicing in the basement with her brother, with his baseball thigh high socks pulled up over both of their shin guards (red for Miss Lilly and blue for Master S) - I really need to get a picture of that - we will see if the enthusiasm sustains itself when she has to run, kick, run, get kicked, possibly bump into a teammate, run, get kicked and then run and kick some more ... I have hope - maybe some of her aggression will get burned off instead of saving it for her parents when we try to discipline. One can hope ...
