Big D is really getting BIG!

Big D started t-ball this spring.

He LOVES everything about it, including the uniform, the glove, the games, the practice.  It is what motivates him to do anything these days ... the whole idea that there might be a baseball game involved gets him to do all kinds of things.

Master S and Miss Lilly are finding that having to go to someone else's games/practices messes with their personal agendas ... but funny how they find entertainment regardless of their protests.  They found a couple other kids to play 'baseball' during the game the other day behind the bleachers ... despite not having a glove, or a bat.
Big D is rapidly approaching kindergarten, and with that comes all kinds of fun activities for preschool.  This was kite day.
We had a great time until he accidentally let go of the string and the kite floated across the very busy street into the Kohl's parking lot and he was devastated ... until he watched mom run through traffic and chase it down in the parking lot!  I'm sure that was a funny sight!  Got two good workouts that day!
We also had bike day recently.  He has said more than once, after a long 'sigh', "Mom, I wish everyday was bike day!"  He learned to ride back in January without training wheels, but has been very nervous about it and has refused to ride his bike, until bike day.  And there is something to be said for positive peer pressure!!!  He learned how to turn and how to start and stop all in one day and now I can't get him off it!  He is so excited to go on a real bike ride with the 'whole family' this summer.  (so am I!)
